Amy looking frail as she leaves her flat for the first time in a fortnight

A frail Amy Winehouse ventured out of her flat in Camden for the first time in a fortnight - needing support from her bodyguard.

The troubled singer looked fragile and sickly as she was escorted to a London recording studio, just two weeks after she was rushed to hospital by ambulance.

The last time Winehouse was seen outside her flat was on July 28.

The Brit award-winner collapsed during a fit and was stretchered out of her own home, watched by friends and dad Mitch.

Cab driver Mitch at first blamed the collapse on a mix-up with prescription drugs but later claimed he drink had been spiked with Ecstasy.

She was discharged the following day and since her return has been under 24-hour surveillance in a last-ditch attempt to keep her on the straight and narrow.

Support: Amy is shielded by her bodyguard

In June the singer was given the stark warning by doctors to 'quit drugs or die' and at the end of that month she was diagnosed with the early stages of the lung disease emphysema.

However as soon as she left the clinic the 24-year-old Rehab star was seen smoking a cigarette.

The troubled soul diva became an international star after she released the Grammy-winning album 'Back to Black' in 2006 but her music has been overshadowed by reports of drug use and run-ins with the law.

Frail: The award-winning singer went to a London recording studio

This year, she was investigated by police, although not charged, after a tabloid newspaper published a video that appeared to show her smoking crack cocaine.

In April 2008 she was cautioned by police for assault after she slapped a man on a night out.

Last month, her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was sentenced to 27 months in jail for assault and obstructing justice this month.

Fielder-Civil admitted beating up pub manager James King in a fight in 2006 and then offered him a bribe of £200,000 to keep quiet about it.
