Britney Spears' mother has defended her daughter's erratic behaviour.
Lynne Spears insisted that the troubled pop star, who spent time in a Malibu rehabilitation clinic earlier this year, has acted no differently from most young people.
She told Us Weekly: "It’s sad that the whole world had to watch Britney make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or the other.
"I can see Britney’s life picking up, and it’s just going to hold great things for her. Everything is going to be really good."
