The two seemed close and comfortable with each other between takes as they continued filming on the film The Bounty in the Big Apple.
Can't my eyes off of you: Jennifer Aniston and co-star Gerard Butler do little to dispel the romance rumours as they keep each other's company on set in New York
Wearing a tight vest and pencil skirt Jennifer, 40, looked her usual sexy but classy self, while 300 star Butler, 39, looked a little soft around the edges in his plaid shirt and jeans.
And she looked attentive as they shared a joke on set of the film which sees bounty hunter Milo (Butler) have to hunt down his ex-wife Casidy (Aniston).
The pair's behaviour while filming The Bounty has prompted rumours they are dating and it seems that little has changed.
Aniston, 40, and Butler, 39, who play an estranged couple in the romantic comedy, were pictured deep in conversation, totally oblivious to onlookers.
Classy lady: Gerard described his quietly sexy co-star as one classy lady
But Gerard has quickly shot down romance rumours calling them 'annoying' and 'ridiculous'.
But he admitted he loved working with the former Friends star, adding: 'She is one classy lady. Every day I go to work with her, I'm always surprised about how cool, easy and down to earth and real she is.
'I'm in New York right now filming and I'm in heaven. I can't always say that about movies, but to be filming this romantic comedy with Jennifer and a story that made my side split when I read it - I'm lucky. I'm happy as a pig in s**t, as they say.'
Meanwhile the actress film production company Screen Gems are teaming up to tell a tale of lingering racial tensions in the Deep South.
The company has acquired Holler aka Mutt written by Dana Adam Shapiro, co-director of the Oscar-nominated documentary Murderball.
Two's company: Gerard and Jennifer stand by... side by side
Inspired by true events, the film tells the story of a mixed race high school student who returns with his white mother to her hometown in Mississippi, where he falls for a white girl.
When prom season arrives at the high school, he is shocked to discover that she cannot be his date at the segregated prom.
He soon finds himself a catalyst for change, not only for the prom but for the school and entire town.
HBO on Monday aired a documentary on the same subject Prom Night in Mississippi.
The film will be produced by Aniston's partner at Echo Films, Kristin Hahn, along with Tracey Durning. Aniston will executive produce with Jeff Mandel.
