Elle Macpherson's wrinkly knees give away her 44 years
Few would disagree Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson looks amazingly youthful at the age of 44.
Despite appearing to defy the ageing process, eagle-eyed fans can spot some evidence of her middle-age thanks to her wrinkly knees.
The tanned beauty turned heads in a little black dress with a staggered hem and peep toe heels in London last night.
Despite her sleek appearance, her short hemline could not disguise the saggy skin above her knees.
While Elle is in remarkably good shape after two children, her wrinkly knees are a difficult to disguise sign of ageing and sun damage.
Having grown up in Australia and regularly enjoying sunbed sessions, it's perhaps no surprise Elle has succumbed to the dreaded wrinkles.
Elle was one of the A-list guests at the 30 Days Of Fashion event at the Natural History Museum as part of London Fashion Week.
She joined Kate Hudson, Lulu, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sir Paul McCartney and Stella McCartney at the exhibition of Mary McCartney's photographs.

She certainly has a figure most women half her age would envy, but it seems even Elle McPherson can't escape the ravages of time.
The 44-year-old, known as The Body, looked a picture of perfection as she arrived at last night's GQ Men of the Year awards.
But her slinky red dress and sexy black heels couldn't hide her knobbly knees which otherwise failed to spoil her gorgeous appearance.
Despite her unsightly knees, the mother-of-two otherwise still manage to wow onlookers and waiting photographers as she posed on the red carpet.
The former model arrived at the annual awards to present rockers Primal Scream with the gong for best band of the year.
Miss McPherson joined a list of celebrities who attended the star-studded event at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
The awards, presented by Lily Allen and Elton John, also saw beauties Elizabeth Hurley and Thandie Newton present awards.

Elle The Body shows plenty of front with her fabulous fortysomething figure
Younger models have challenged her for the title, but even at 44, Elle Macpherson is proving she's still The Body.
The model turned multimillionaire business woman put her knock-out figure on show during a photoshoot in London yesterday.
All eyes were on the star - and her plunging waistcoat as she worked her magic for the camera on a balcony in the capital's centre.
"Elle has had enough of living in London," a friend said last month.
"She just finds it too busy. She has decided she wants to move back to Australia for a more simple life."
She has lived in the capital for nearly ten years, sharing her Notting Hill home, estimated to be worth £8million, with sons Flynn, nine, and Aurelius Cy, four.
Having earned a £45million fortune from her modelling work and lingerie business, Elle has previously hinted that she might one day consider quitting Britain.
Although her spokesperson wouldn't comment her plans, the star, who has also has a holiday home in the Bahamas, says she's happiest when by the ocean.
She told a magazine recently: "The Bahamas mirror what I imagine my life in Australia would be like."
"I wake up and go for a surf. I'm an earth mother, 100 per cent there for my kids, and there's no work."
She has recently denied links to Vito Schnabel - the 21-year-old son of Oscar-nominated director Julian Schnabel.
Elle and Bryan have been romantically linked, on and off, for the past year.

Elle Macpherson showed off her freshly cut fringe as she emerged from New York restaurant Cipriani, where she had attended an awards ceremony.
She has clearly been taking style tips from fellow supermodel Kate Moss, who was the first to set the big bang trend late last year.
The mother-of-two walked attended the Femmy Gala on her own, but she is not short on male company.
