But while celebrating his 36th birthday in Italy this weekend, Liam Gallagher looked a picture of calm as he shared an intimate meal with friends and wife Nicole Appleton.
And there was not a can of lager in sight as the Oasis legend sipped on champagne and dined on truffle risotto.

The love-struck couple and two other friends enjoyed a meal alfresco at Italy's most exclusive restaurant Il Gatto Nero.
In the last year alone the eatery, owned by Fausto Fontana for the past 30 years, has played host to a plethora of celebrities including George Clooney, Kylie Minogue, Robert De Niro and Avril Lavigne.

The party arrived at 7.30pm on Saturday, the eve of Liam's birthday, and settled into the homely atmosphere at the waterside venue which was frequented by around 50 other diners.
After the main course, Liam was presented with a cake with the message 'aguri', which means 'congratulations' in Italian.

With a child-like grin on his face, the Oasis lead singer blew out the single candle on his cake as Nicole, who he married on Valentine's Day, watched on with a matching smile.
The star's presents included Elvis Presley's Country album and the first edition of Diana Ross' cover of John Lennon's Imagine on vinyl.
Liam was in Italy enjoying a three-day breather from Oasis' world tour and promotional work of the up-coming album Dig Out Your Soul, due out next month.
Earlier this month the frontman had to be held back by security after a mad fan stage dived on top of his brother Noel during a gig in Toronto, Canada.
But the Birthday boy was on his best behaviour during the meal, showing he was clearly not looking back in anger.
