Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank is recovering at home after having a benign growth removed.
The 34-year-old Million Dollar Baby star underwent the minor medical procedure at a Los Angeles medical centre, according to People magazine.
The health scare happened when Swank visited a doctor after 'experiencing some discomfort'.

He then 'prescribed an immediate course of action that included a brief hospitalisation to remove a small, benign growth,' manager Jason Weinberg said.
'Her condition has been resolved and there are no continuing health issues, with the exception of some short-term rest and recuperation.'
Swank, who was last seen in PS, I Love You, based on the book by Cecelia Ahern, recently finished shooting the biographical film Amelia, about famed pilot Amelia Earhart.
Last week she was in New York for fashion week, but flew back to Los Angeles for her treatment.
She is next expected to make the drama Betty Ann Waters, the true story of a high school dropout who went back to school and earned a law degree when her brother was convicted of murder in 1983 and sentenced to life in prison. In 2001 she won his release based on new DNA evidence.
