Svelte Sharron Davies still in great shape at 46 show at British Fashion Awards

With her stunning figure and killer pins, Sharron Davies looked as if she had just stepped off the catwalk herself at the British Fashion Awards last night.

The former Olympic swimmer stole the show in classic LBD, complete with a plunging neckline.

The 46-year-old managed to carry off an ultra stylish look in a Herve Leger cocktail dress, while still keeping warm in freezing temperatures with black tights and a sheepskin coat.

Davies turned out with a flock of stars to the glitzy event, which was held at the Royal Horticultural Hall in London.

Other guests included pregnant Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jade Jagger, Pixie Geldof, Claudia Schiffer, Sadie Frost, Twiggy and John Sergeant's dance partner Kristina Rihanoff.

Davies, who celebrated her birthday earlier this month, has always been good at attracting attention.

During the 2004 Athens Olympics the star created a stir wearing a series of revealing outfits poolside as she chatted to the competitors.

This summer during the Beijing Olympics the BBC ensured its cameras panned tightly on her to avoid a gratuitous display of flesh.

However she still managed to show off her toned legs during an interview with Andrew Childes back in August as they discussed the sporting event.

Davies learned to swim at age six and was training seriously two years later. She set a record by swimming for the British national team at the age of only eleven.

The youngster was so determined that she continued her training even after breaking both her wrists in a childhood accident.
